I think you are right on target, Ed, with your questions about whether BP will make good on its promises. These guysare capitalists who report to their fickle shareholders. If they don't have to, I don't see them wanting to pay the bills. And if there IS a fund for such purposes, as eluded to by the writer above, maybe that fund should NOT be touched, if BP has promised to pay the bills. Great stuff, Ed. Keep it up!

Ed,

If there is a fund, I see BP wanting to pay the bills using that fund, that is probably what they meant when they promised they would pay the bill. It's like insurance, so why should someone buy insurance and then pay out of pocket for the damages too; doing so negates the benefits of insurance. Never give the insurance companies a pass. To show you how powerful they are, consider that some of them OWN BANKS, so not only do they take your money when you never submit a claim, they take the money you invest in the bank, earn a greater percentage and give you the lesser percentage. It's a huge racket!!!

It's a brain dead idea to think that BP will NOT touch the fund they have paid into when trouble arises.

Again, I love you and your show, Ed.
