Will America's biggest corporations finally be paying their fair share? Now that the wealthiest one percent are back to paying the rate they paid before the Bush tax cuts, the corporations that make their money on American soil are still off-shoring their money. Senator Bernie Sanders has a resolution. Watch it.
Although thanks to Harry Reid, and his caving in on Fillibuster reform, there still needs to be 60 votes to get anything passed. Even with these new people in the Senate, it will be very difficult. It just will be a very heavy lift. Bernie Sanders has spoken out for years, and will be there to keep doing it. More new and decent people need to be added to the Senate. and the House, and maybe kick some more of the TEA PARTY people out of there, in the midterms if people stay focused and actually get out and vote, or take some things seriously for a change. Please use some common sense Congress. This sequester, thing would be a terrible thing. We are slowly making our way out of a bad recession, and we don't need to go into another one.

I practice economic patriotism with buying everything possible--American made and American brands!

The Radical Republican Part spent too much time & energy listening to their big corporate donors while ignoring the actual voters...............the very same UN-Patriotic Corporations who sponge off our USA infrastructure while being patriotic to their off shore tax havens, off shore cheap labor & off shore accounts..............

I am still mad as hell after seeing that Frontline documentary laying out exactly what led to our economic collapse in 2008. There should be dozens of banking and mortgage CEO's behind bars! There was more than enough evidence to get indictments against them. There was massive fraud that went on, not to mention the billions made betting against the economy.
So as a result of our paid government leaders giving a handslap and a wink, these things are happening all over again! Drug money laundering, mortgage fraud, insider trading and on and on. Only the next time we have an economic collapse, and we will have another one, it is going to be oh so much worse.
We have outlaws running Wall Street and they now know there is ZERO accountability.
What incentive do they have for doing the right thing? Not even one!

I just wish that more people were listening to Bernie Sanders and others like him to see why we're in such a hole. Many people aren't even aware of the off-shoring of money by big corporations while too many will vote for Republicans thinking that they have the answers to our fiscal crisis. What they should realize is that everything started going downhill when Bush/Cheney took office in 2001.

turn the tables

Make Mitch McConnell defend the Carl Rove attack ads on A. Judd........in my opinion the Carl Rove attack adds will back-fire..........in my opinion Rove has this one wrong.......tune the tables & make McConnell distance himself from Rove.........
The same goes with the NRA...............make a NRA Endorsement a bad thing.........expose the NRA gun lobby for who they really are..........

Thank You Senator Bernie Sanders!!!!!!!.............Why not make the postal box scheme out of one building illegal or to say it simply with common sense "Tax Fraud".........make them report all income on foreign soil or go to jail!!!!!!!!!!!!.......corporations are people my friend, so arrest them!!!!!!!!!

ditto to what donnajoy wrote, i'll include the people of vermont with the good sense to keep bernie sanders in the senate. i'm not sure where he gets that stable compass setting he has, i'm glad he has it., he also has a strong spine to keep functioning as he does with a congress so dysfunctional, i'm glad he does that too. that strong spine has to be genetic? he must have been born with it & is now using it for the good of all.
the future is more optimistic, we lost rich feingold but as donna writes we gained elizabeth warren, tammy baldwin, we kept sherrod brown got rid of scott brown with strong democrats running to replace john kerry and now the economy is improving on top of it!....good new perhaps we can stop being so fearful now

I agree with Ed that we are very fortunate to have Bernie Sanders in the Senate. He really speaks for us and never loses his focus from what needs to be done for the middle class and less fortunate. It is also great that we now have Elizabeth Warren and Tammy Baldwin to give us an even louder voice.
