Many schools have armed guards. Columbine did. Arming teachers is not the answer and anyone with a brain knows it.
Assault weapons are military weapons of war, not guns. The sale of these weapons to civilians must end and we must institute a buyback program. This is ridiculous. Enough.

Armed Teachers will put law enforcement "the good guys" at risk.....it makes it more difficult to do their job...............it would make a tragic situation much worse for more than one reason.............first of all how does law enforcement know an armed teacher is the good guy? Second of all, when an officer first comes on the scene they are at risk of being shot by mistake by a teacher "good guy".

@ the teacher who was a guest on the show saying she thinks teachers should carry concealed weapons in the class-room.............you seem like a nice person who thinks she is doing the right thing, but the truth is the statistics don't back your opinions....you say you will do the research, so please do..........it is delusional to think having the option of carrying a concealed weapon will make your classroom safer "sorry statistically your classroom is less safe"............and it is delusional to think it is a real option in a situation like an assault weapons attack..............hundreds of bullets being sprayed in a matter of seconds by an assault weapon & you really believe you can shoot the bad guy with a hand gun???.........think about i,????..........sorry not reality.......sorry it is not a realistic option.............its like saying you can take on a freight train with a GEO Metro.............sorry get real!..........I would not allow my child to be in class room with any type of weapon, statistically they have a higher chance of being shot.......that is a fact.

Anyone who carries a concealed weapon should have to carry liability insurance, especially a school teacher & the school. Who is liable for an accidental shooting? Medial bills, wrongful death etc..............How do you put a price-tag on a life?
When you drive a car, you are required to carry liability insurance. I don't speed, I drive with care, but we need traffic rules, laws & speed limits for a reason..........it is for public safety........even though I drive safely, the laws protect me from idiots behind wheel.........so in my opinion we need common sense reasonable guns laws because idiots not only drive, they might carry a firearm too..........

nancy pelosi calls her committee not working on "Gun Control" but working on "Gun violence Prevention" I think its like during the election being asked if a canidate supports abortion and you quickly correct, that the canidate supports the "choice" of a womnan and her doctor. When are for if asked if you support" gun control" quickly correct that you support" gun violance prevention"

The 2008 Supreme Court decision in Distric of Columbia v Heller declared that the 2nd Amendment gives individuals the right to "keep and bear arms", but it also basically limited that right to the home.
Section lll of the majority opinion, written by Justice Antonin Scalia, clearly states that the 2nd Amendment rights are not unlimited, it also says legislation regulating commercial sales of firearms, or banning them in certain areas does not violate nd Amendment rights.
People like to spout "their 2nd amendment right" and know nothing about what the Supreme Court decision says about them.

I don't see the NRA as any better than the tobacco industry (smokers rights) or any big corp with a Senator in every pocket. They wave the flag and preach freedom while having their legal Beagles run attack ads in political campaigns. They collect million$ in 'undisclosed' tax deductible amounts. Big donors like our pals the Koch Bro's funnel big $$$ to the NRA to repeatedly run attack ads on Democrats. Thank you Citizens United.

It's way past the grassroots smoke and mirrors they hide behind after every mass shooting .Indeed they feed off these shootings as the paranoia of any arms control sends the sheep running to the gun stores to grab up the very weapons used in the slaughter. Wave the flag, scream about rights, arm everybody!! Cut the bull. It's of the sales, by the sales, and for the sales. You can bet your big deductible tax break on it.

The only reason is it is obama who is asking for something. I have gone after the gun nuts and second amendments nuts. Warren Burger said the NRA and other groups who promote the second amendament are just promoting folly. It is a joke as most of the talking heads screams gun gun and more guns have never done a day in the military. So it doesnt mean a thing to these people that people die and are hurt as long as they stop obama.. The issue isnt just gun control it is everything he does as you know the uppity blackman wants to do things for the people. How dare he assume he is the president even when he was only elected two times to be the president. We all know there was rampent voter fraud by the democrats.
