Karl Rove and the SuperPACs came up empty in their quest to influence the election. The Denocrats increased their presence in both the Senate and the House. Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown, one of the lawmakers the SuperPACs targeted, joins Ed to discuss it. Watch it.
"You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all the time; but you can't fool all of the people all of the time." Once again this old adage has been proven true!
P.S. I think Abe Lincoln came up with this 150 years ago. Best the fat cats think about this before they once again try to buy an election.

No doubt about it. The political geniuses in this election are all of my fellow African-American citizens - 0% of whom got fooled by the Mittster and his miserably failed trickle on ideology. I apologize for the 60% of my old white peers who have taken to being proud of their ignorance and swearing allegiance to Fox fact-free, fairly unbalanced news. I would make the point that Karl Rove and the Crossroads GPS kids that got it 100% wrong and drove the GOP into the ditch - forever hopefully - skewed the results and a few of us senior crackers are real human beings too. A little advice to my lost peers - burn your copy of the Turner Diaries and actually read Upton Sinclairs' The Jungle.

They are all the biggest losers for now! None of the GOP has any clue why they lost, and will put some poor tocken person on their ticket in 2016. They don't get the facts, that they lost because of ideology, and policies. Treating women with no respect and like second class citizens, by, trying to glorify a rapist, and by calling the black President names like food stamp President, they were calling non-white people names also, and dis-respecting them, and treating them like they don't count at all.
As long as the GOP esposuse things like Evil Government, and Trickle-Down, and continue to espouse the racism of the South, which has excisted since the Civial War,and all of the above mentioned things, their party will shrink down to a lesser one not able to win anything except a few things in some of the red states, which will never go Democratic.

I believe that Ed should discuss the possiblity that General Petrayus was involved with the leaks over the past 2 years. I also believe that the Republican party was involved with blackmailing the General with the fact of his affair in exchange for information. If this is true and there is a trail that the General was leaking information to the Republicans, President Obama has all the ammunition he needs to push any agenda he wants.
Ed you have to consider the possibilities. Look at the bull the Republicans have pulled over the last four years, would you put anything past them.

Also noteworthy is the blow to organizations like NOM, who are whining about being outspent and begging for even more money to fight what has quickly become a losing battle. (Karma's a b!tch, ain't it?). The change in public opinion on marriage equality may not carry any legal weight but it provides a good opportunity for the Supreme Court to be on the right side of history if/when it hears the pending DOMA and/or Prop 8 cases.

Think of what good all of that Pac money could have done for education, or other worthy causes. Rove with his mystic math, cost them big $$$$. He has become more of a liability for the right than an asset. I think his days are numbered. I cant stand the man. He's been a lying, cheating manipulator for years. I believe the 'peter principle' has caught up with him. He has risen to his own level of incompetence.

Since Rove maintains dual citizenship in the US and Germany, if he is unhappy he can just go back to being Karl Roverer, go back to Germany and build prison camps like his grandfather did.

It was like a breathe of fresh air when I learned that Sherrod Brown and other Progressives won their elections. I wasn't sure that we the people would overcome the wealthy greedy individuals with deep deep pockets. I was proud to be an American when I saw that so many people endured so much in order to vote and that there were groups that would not stop until they overturned nasty prejudicial laws to suppress the vote. This country is composed of diverse groups of people that care about what happens here and supported the best candidate for President, Barak Obama.

Hooray for the American people! It took boot work to combat all the MONEY thrown at the American people in lies! When I think of the entitlement that the Romneys thought they "deserved" the White House I kept thinking are they royalty. Is King Mitt and Queen Ann the beginning of a new American aristocracy? The American people and the American Unions are not going to sit back and take the RepubliKKKan shaft. We need to rein in the power that the Reagan White House set in motion giving corporations limitless power. It is time to support the local mom and pop shops in America and let the big multinational corporations know that the American people mean business. They can peddle their goods overseas if they do not want to support the American people with their fair share of taxes. End the offshore tax havens, end the Citizens United ruling! Sherrod Brown, Elizabeth Warren, Alan Grayson, et al----WAY TO GO!!!
