I agree with Melissa Harris Perry who said on her show that we need two, viable, political party's in this country! She is right, but also forgets that the Republicans under GWB administration, and the Republican led Congress, and all the bad Governors out there, are not doing what she is saying here! Hell, these Republican candidates are esspousing the belief of one-party rule, with everything that comes out of their mouths! President, Obama, tried to discuss things with Republicans, and they would not hear of it. They closed their ears and did what they wanted to by the way of Corporate America-The Kocks-Kraft-etc, and all the Corporations that belong to the Group ALEC, who are writing the bills that are sent to all of the Red- State Legislatures out there, and many
blue states as well!
Now, you just wait the Republicans are now poised, to use the rise in gasoline prices to try to get the President, because nothing else that they do, seems to be working! Well, America! Wake Up! If we as a country would have listened to those, who were warning us, to get ourselves off of dirty fossil fuels, along time ago, I'm talking many years ago here, we wouldn't have to worry about high gas prices, now would we? When is this country going to really wake up and stop playing little games! We have a whole country of people who wanted it both ways, or wanted their cake and eat it too! Now! We as a country have to face a big reality! The world markets have changed forever, and the very countries that we depended on for oil, have changed too, in the last year or so!
Are we going to wake up and do anything about this, or are we going to stand there, and bitch our heads off, and blame everything on the current President, when the last seven are just as much to blame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These right wingers laugh at constitutional Law! They only except their versions of the Law! They have no idea what the Constituion says or what it means! The phrase equal opportunity and justice for all, doesn't mean anything any more!

When Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act he conceded the south to republicons for the foreseeable future. But the times they are a'changing. Populations are becoming more and more dirverse and less and less white. Even my redneck neice in Texas adopted a mixed race little girl. It's getting harder for the republicons to hang on dispite their gerrymanding redistricting and voter suppression laws. I just hope the changes come before republicons complete all their dirty tricks. We must vote them out this election. They see the trend too and have shown what they intend to do at the state level and with the majority they hold on the corrupt supreme court. It is unimagineable what would happen if they took power in the Senate and Presidency. Look at their track record in the House.
President Obama needs to win big, and in his second term, take my advice... TAX THE RICH!!

Rex....I don't understand it. i grew up with some of these folks, I go to church with some of them now. They have voted repub all their life. And still believe the repubs want to help the people and the democrats want to take things away. They tell stories from the 40's about the Dixiecrat party....I have decided, here in the south, voting is a learned behavior.

How could anyone even consider voting for this nut! I'm ashamed that he is even in the news. This am on one of the news networks (not fox) I heard in national polls, Obama in a tie with all republicon candidates except newt, who he is beating.
The polls are as real as a $3 bill. Phoney bullshit to improve ratings. If the election is even close, I really don't want to live here anymore. If Obama loses to one of these clowns, we might as well bring back slavery because we know the majority of voters would approve it. I'll bet most of the supporters of these republicons don't even like them, they just hate the muslim, socialist, nazi, communist, black man who is our current president.
To think, people were afraid of JFK because he was catholic. Now we have sanitorium who, if elected, would be proof positive that God is really mad at us.
TAX THE RICH, and TAX THE CHURCH, after all they should pay something for country they want to rule!

Linda, VA: I have never like Congressman Paul Ryan. My mother does not want to pay $6,000 more for Medicare premiums so the rich can get more tax cuts! I am not sure any Senior would like the Ryan budget. These right wingers are a piece of work. Now the GOP is attacking women's health and reproductive issues. I just don't understand why men who aren't doctors can not leave women alone to make their own family and medical decisions with their doctor. Do you understand this about the conservatives? I do not get it. I guess as a Democrat I never will understand these right winged conservatives.
