As the conservatives try to refine their talking points and motivate their base, they continue to purport that President Obama is somehow 'appeasing' our enemies.  And today the President couldn't have said it better.  Ask Osama.

I agree Linda S that we need to stop going in & occupying other countries in the name of profit & greed.

I think the best way to fight terrorism is to stop being terrorists ourselves. Stop intervening in all these countries civil matters and stop trying to promote democracy by the end of a gun barrel. It doesn't work and this has been proven in history time and time again.

There is a fellow named Gene Sharp who wrote a very important manual about how to turn a 3rd world dictatorship into a democracy without shots being fired. He is former military. I saw the show on Vanguard on Current tv. He became the number one enemy of the CIA because of this. Countries were seeking him out and bypassing our government because they believed his way was best.

We are in all these wars because they are being manipulated by powerful people whose main interest is in profiting from them, NOT building a Democracy.

I agree that the best way to fight terrorism is to use intelligence, precision strikes, special forces, drones, cut off their money & take out their leadership & etc.............exactly what President Obama is doing.................& its successful & cost effective.......................instead of the expensive Wars & loss of life..........................

IF the GOP would get out of President Obama's way on domestic policy the economy would be thriving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing standing in the way of a complete economic recovery is a Republican!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing standing in the way of you & a job is Republican!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hide your wallets!!!!!!!!!!

We need to keep calling the Radical Republicans out when they use "Scripted, Parroted" Talking points! Shame them with video clips & soundbites of all of them saying it generically is the perfect offense that puts them back on the defense & shames them.

President Obama gets an A+ rating on foreign policy. In my opinion President Obama needs to keep up the fight & stay out in-front of the message. He spoke out perfectly against the "appeasement" parroted false talking point.

Personally, I think Obama works quite well with the military. The pubs are just running out of criticism gas. They keep trying to sell failed policy as the way to go. As far as Romney, who can take the guy seriously on anything anymore? He's an empty suit flip flopping daily.

The notion that the war is winding down must have greedy war companies like Haliburton shaking in their boots. How about a little Christmas spirit, turn your swords into plow shears? Ain't gonna happen.

On another note, far more people die on our highways, using cars fueled by foreign oil, than in all our gallant war efforts. Maybe we should just trade our cars in for their camels, and let our enemies self-destruct.

It must be nice to know your electorate doesn't deal in realities. Their echo chamber is so effective, truth is irrelevant.

It is disgusting. We have to have faith that the MSM will address some of the more significant bogus garbage being spouted FOR the faithful ditto heads'.

Social media will be on another level.

As Ed says, wait for the debates with Obama...

You know, the Dems in congress still need to be more vocal.

Rex....This war-hungry congress wants us to believe the war is more vibrant than ever and wants it to be expanded by declaring that the entire world is a battlefield and the war needs continued forever. It is GOP scare tatics at best. They don't want us to believe the war is winding down or facing toward the rear.

Linda, Virginia: You are correct on this score. President Obama has done an excellent job on national security from getting Osama bin Laden to the two terrorist leaders in Yemen. There is also the end of Qadaffy in Libya. There are a host of neutralized Al Qaida leaders in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region. It has taken a lot of leadership and emphasis from President Obama to neutralize all these terrorists. There has also been a new emphasis on drone plane warfare to make our bombing super-precise with fewer civilian losses. Bombing can never be made perfect all military guys know that but it has been enhanced by President Obama who saw it as a new tool against terrorist without putting so many American boots on the ground. So overall I am not even sure why the GOP is trying to make a talking point about the war on terror. Let them talk about it all they want. President Obama is busy being a successful Commander in Chief.
