***Breaking News***

Biden has the best hair plugs of any vice president.

Now that is middle class values- Thanks Joe.

He is like that creepy drunk uncle that hits on your girlfriend at a wedding and thinks he's cool... yuk. Go back and get your teeth bleached some more!

Oh yeah...The Catholic church is still against abortion! Despite that crap you tried to sell to the American people. In case you didn't know Joe...LIFE long Catholic. Unborn children are not choices and you as a leader have a moral obligation to stand up for the least among you.. Joe!! And no person is less than the unborn children of this country. Especially when Barack hasn't seen an abortion he doesn't support.

Late term-Yes.

Partial birth-yes.

Under age-yes.

Without parental consent-yes!!!

Thanks miblue, I guess the main point I wanted to get across is that people seem to feel that showing compassion for the less fortunate in this country is somehow a sign of weakness. We know that is how Mitt Romney feels. His "newfound" compassion for the middle class is empty rhetoric born of a desperate campaign that was losing ground daily. Do we believe Mitt the etch a sketch campaigner or Mitt behind closed doors where his feels the most comfortable? I cannot believe so many people cannot see through this.

There was a scene in the movie I watched where RFK is speaking before a group of black people right after MLK had been assassinated. He was almost at a loss for words. But when he said "God's work on this earth must truly be our own", it just drove me to my "rant", lol.

This is what inspired leadership looks and sounds like.

And a rousing Amen for Linda. Great job in dissecting our nation and exposing the right wing GOP cancer. I hope its not to late to remove it and we can survive the cure and get back to being a beacon of "light" in a world of self imposed darkness - again.

According to the latest Reuters poll of early voters, Obama is ahead of Romney by , get this 59 to 31 %. Geez, no wonder they were so adamant about taking away the early voting in all those states!

Biden really did us all proud, indeed! He caught, all the lies, and fired, back with statements like, "Thats Malarkey", and thats incredible. Since when is it rude to smile, or to shake your head. He didn't let anything go unanswered, and commented on everything with the truth. I am very content with that. He knows how to do that well.

I don't think that Martha Radditz is as good as most are hailing, her out to be. At least four different times, Biden had to correct her on some non factual information she was trying to throw out there in the form of a question, to him. Alot of it on foreign policy, which is supposed to be her strength, as a reporter. It was a good debate, and Biden did what he needed to do!

As I watched a movie about Bobby Kennedy this afternoon I could not help but realize one thing. We are still fighting the same battles now that we were nearly 50 years ago.

With all the technology, intelligence, inventions, "smart" phones and appliances, we really have not evolved very much as a nation.

We have instant communication yet we are farther apart as a nation than we have ever been. One only has to ask oneself, why?

This is an election not so much about where we are going as a nation but about who we are. How much are our lives really better off with all this technology, smart bombs, social networking, and the like?? Wasn't technology supposed to make our lives easier??

How much better off are we just because we can send a drone anywhere in the world and take out a village?? What does that really say about us?? That we're "tough", that we're "strong"???

Well if we are so damned strong then what the hell is wrong with our economy? How strong a nation are we really if half of us don't even have jobs or are underemployed or have no health insurance?

How strong are we if our homes are worthless? How strong are we if our government leaders are constantly telling us to "be afraid" of the boogiemen all around the world with different religions and different colored skin???

I don't see strong at all. I see a nation crippled by years of war, neglect of our inner cities and infrastructures, a nation that spends more on weapons and prisons than just about anything else.

We can't even get on a plane anymore to take a leisurely vacation without someone thinking we might be a terrorist if we have a damned bottle of water in our hands! Strong??

We are living in a fear based nation now, thanks to corporations who value conquering third world countries and raping them for their resources more than they do educating their own children to grow up and be productive citizens.

We have allowed crazy maniacal religious zealots to invade our Congress, our Supreme Court, our State Houses, and our lives. These people are trying to tell us not to believe our own eyes when we look at a fossil millions of years old!! They are trying to run women's lives and they aren't even women!

I am not "down" on the USA. I love and believe in my country and its people, especially our young people more than I ever have in my lifetime. But we are in the fight of our lives to preserve what's left of this great nation. We have been watching it systematically dismantled before our eyes. From our civil rights, to our property rights, to our voting rights.

We are being told to hate one another and to hate others in other countries who don't worship like we do or whose culture may be different.

We know who the real enemies are of this country. And they do not live in Libya, or Afghanistan, or Iraq, or Iran!! They are the ones, Americans, who behind closed doors make "deals". They have mortgaged our future on "business deals", crony capitalism, Wall Street fast money making greed, vulture capitalism, offshoring, human trafficking, military industrial capitalism, and then have the nerve to say they do it all in the name of God and Country!

ENOUGH! Look who really suffers, look who really sacrifices, look who goes without jobs, without healthcare, then, go and look at who is paying these people to do this to us. WE ARE! We are the ones paying these very people to deny us our own future and sense of security.

Mr. Romney I will say to you as I saw your picture from 1966 "protesting the Vietnam protestors". From your wealthy, safe, college deferment, get on a plane and leave the country comfort and safety. While the poor and less affluent go and fight the wars that you think are so great! And now you want MORE WAR! You are trying to get us into another conflict in Iran by your rhetoric and you haven't even been given the keys to the White House yet!! I shudder to think what you'll do if you actually do get those keys!

And what has happened to our religious leaders?? They are all pitted against one another now too. They think they have the right to tell us how to vote. I don't remember God ever discussing the vote in the Bible!! But I remember what did happen----Jesus destroying the money changing marketplace in an angry fit because of the greed he saw. Now we're being told by Mitt and Co that greed is good, wealth is a sign of strength and poverty is a sign of weakness!

That if we are poor it's our own fault!! Do these people ever actually read the Bible??? They are burning Qurans and bombing women's clinics and murdering doctors! And saying God says it was ok. This is sick, there is a real sickness that has taken over the entire religious community in this country, both Protestant and Catholic. There is nothing but infighting and fear and anger.

We are desperately in need of strong leadership, both religious and civic, the kind of leadership that is fearless and does not compromise when it comes to people's lives and well being. We are seeing alot of the really good leaders we had leave Congress in disgust.

I want to see our President take on this money machine of a campaign by the GOP and tear it down! I want to see him angry, and disgusted! Because most of us are. And with good reason. To heck with diplomacy and appearances anymore Mr. President. These people are out to destroy this nation from within, we elected YOU to look out for our interests and our lives. Are you going to do that?? We are counting on it.

Thank you and good night!

Best Moderated Debate I have ever seen:

I hope Martha Raddatz gets future opportunities to moderate debates.............it is the template on how to moderate a debate.................it was nearly perfectly moderated..........the only flaw was when Ryan was asked a specific question & he went off on another topic when the clock was running out & I felt Martha should have stopped him early and offered Biden equal time to respond to all his Radical Right Wing talking points he regurgitated..

Terrorists will not go into hiding until we pull out & then come back when we leave because we have a timeline......that theory is plain stupid..........laughable...........how can anyone take Paul Ryan seriously???????........he had nothing seriously credible to say..............
Mr. Fargo

n the Obama/Romney debate Mitt claimed he didn't know anything about the tax cut Paul Ryan was defending during the Biden debate..............contradiction anyone?????..........and I agree with all the important solutions Rex blogged about..............
Mr. Fargo

Paul Ryan's theory about if we have a time line to pull our troops out will cause our enemies to go on vacation or into hibernation & wait us out is just plain stupid & lacks any common sense.........if that was true...........wouldn't that be a good thing............come on.........according to Ryan they would be busy not being our enemies, not planting roadside bombs, not attacking our troops because they would be waiting us out until we pull out & according to Ryan that is a bad thing..............heck if that is all it takes is to have a time line to put our enemies into hibernation for a few years why not put out a time line, pretend to pull out & surprise attack them?????...........just a little sarcasm........& you wonder why Biden was smiling & chuckling...............how can any one take what Paul Ryan was saying seriously...............that is just one example of the Radical Right Wing Theories of Stupidity.......the truth of the matter is that Time Lines won't make terrorists go on vacation until we pull out............it won't make terrorists go into hibernation to wait us out.........what a time line does is makes the Afghans less dependent on our Military & our tax dollars & forces them to step up to the plate & defend themselves with their Military instead of our Military............the best way to fight terrorism is will special forces, intelligence & drone attacks.
