Ron, the immigration issue is probably one of the toughest for anyone. As you know living in California and me in Texas we see this on a firsthand basis. I saw this issue coming over 35 years ago because of the schools. I wondered even back then how we were going to be able to contain the masses.

One thing I will never understand is these idiot Congressmen who always holler "free market" yet the immigration system is one of the most archaic, broken down messes in this country. They have had years to modernize the system. And they have had the technology to do it. They have developed sophisticated tactical weapons and smart bombs decade after decade while our infrastructure crumbles.

The same thing goes for voter registration and i.d.'s. We live in the instant information age, yet some of the most important systems of government are back in the stone age.

Along with immigration they better get a handle on the human trafficking issue because it is becoming one of the number one crime issues of our age. It is about sex slavery and trafficking in workers who will work for practically nothing. Our government does not even want to admit that this problem exists. You cannot tell me that there are not business owners "ordering" these people like they had a catalog. Yet when there is a big bust you never hear about who is behind it, you just see law enforcement rounding up these pitiful people who are half starved and don't even have proper clothing. They live in fear of their captors 24.7. I know there are American businessmen behind this and they need to be exposed. This is nothing more than modern slavery.

Ok, Alex, let's hear your ideas for fixing the economy since you have written off the President's. I'll say this much, I bet if any reporter asked him what's in it and asked him questions about the numbers he could at least answer their questions so he's miles ahead of Romney/Ryan going into the debate.

Ryan's fatal mistake was telling the world what a numbers guy he is and then when he is held to account, he stammers and stumbles and declares himself 'out of time'.

Hey Linda

How is the budget the President submitted looking? I'm sure you studied that too. The budget is number one priority and this president has shown ZERO leadership other than blaming others. A real leader would get Harry Reid to put a budget to a vote. Oh wait, he did and the presidents budget received ZERO votes.

In a 99-0 vote, all of the senators present rejected the president’s blueprint.

It’s the second year in a row the Senate has voted down Obama’s budget.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) on Wednesday warned the economy will enter a recession next year if the country goes over the so-called fiscal cliff.

Get ready for the next recession and after Obama is re-elected, who's he going to blame then? Michelle?

According to news reports the GOP donors have already left the Romney camp in disgust and are now donating to House, Senate, and Gubernatorial GOP races. They are going to lose alot of those too. At least half the American populace has truly woken up. The polls are beginning to reflect that.

problem with the debates-its a close election for obama w/obama in the lead.

so the most predictable thing to occur is obama will "beat" romney ensuring an obama 2nd term...THEN Mr. Rove will give up on Romney and turn his evil eye and significant war chest to the congretional elections and we have 2 more years tea bag of gridlock...

the less predictable path romney exceeds expectation in the debates and we have a nail biting election for obama., But obama still pulls off a victory & Mr. Rove has no reason to turn his funds to the congretional elections, thereby getting rid of the most tea baggers, less tea bag gridlock in obama's 2nd term

I'm uncertain who i want to win in this debate? its a nail biter, already.

Linda I am on medicare and here is a peek at my cost as of today. 99.00 for medicare, 109.00 for supplement insurance, and for me 50.00 for dental insurance (wife has same coverage for dental at 50.00 for her policy total 100.00 per month), and then eye care I have to pay for new glasses and I get the exam as of now under medicare. So just for me that is a total for me alone is about 5500.00 per year and then add the meds and my wifes insurance it is close or over 7000.00 per year. I am lucky for now as I get supplement under GE's retirees group health plan otherwise it would be alot more. I cant guess what it would cost if I went out and had to get full coverage of medicare and supplemental insurace for the both of us when the time comes. I think I would have to put my house in my daughter's name so they couldnt touch it if I or my wife have major medical problems. Forgot that we pay deductables for each visit which increase the year total.

The people like romney and ryan never will have to worry about these problems and dont have no idea of them.

I am sick of these men and women calling medicare and social security entitlements and I wish the dems wouldnt use that term as they are just repeating what the idiots on the right are calling them....

just wanted to added some numbers to the debate of medicare.. also I get about 32,000.00 per year. I have to pay mortgage, insurance on house and cars, property tax, utilities, and all the rest. so if these clowns think I am wealthy enough to pay 22,000.00 a year when my wife gets old enough the are just idiot clowns..

still thinking I may have to move out of country to surrive these guy if they win, and I dont want to do that but may have to do it..

We all know full well, what the GOP has planned for the debates. It won't work. It is just like what they did over the spring and summer, with womens rights, or before that with the debt ceiling thing, of not wanting to stick to the issues, and then lied, and tried to wiggle out of all of it, after they got caught in the act I just hope that the President stands up to all of it in a forcefull way, against no-nothing, changes his mind- Romney! Besides, many people like-Me- have allready began voting. It won't change a thing!

Ron,

I just did a post on the thread below this one after studying Ryan's so called budget. My God what a sham and joke on the American people. This is a classic example of "out of touch". This man has no clue what the market is like in the field of medical care. Why? Because WE pay for HIS medical care, a plan that is much better than any of us has. And Romney could care less either, calling his budget "bold and exciting" after never having read a word of it. I am just plain angry after reading the numbers he came up with for medical costs. My God, where did he come up with those numbers?

Linda now that health care is done the next thing is jobs/small business and imigration. That is what they have to do next and if the dems get control of both houses and the white house then they need to run the table quickly and not mess about with some long debate with the gop=tea baggers. Then take on the budget and taxes so it will lower the debt and create jobs, and to hell with the right let them whine and cry they have screwed us so it is time to shut them down...

I pray that the people on the left wake up and vote the clowns of the gop=tea baggers out and give us back a common sense government. The left has to make a case for this and they need to get off their fannies and VOTE..

just my humble views

The GOP pundits, according to today's news, are actually thinking of bringing up Afghanistan in Wednesday night's debate and using it against the President.

Now mind you, did they even mention Afghanistan ONCE in their convention?? We all know the answer to that. They called it a laundry list item.

Yet all of a sudden they are willing to hijack a debate that is supposed to be about domestic policy and make it about foreign policy. Why? Because of the recent tragic loss of more life of our soldiers. Mitt the opportunist, he never lets one get past him. You'd think his ill timed comments after we lost our ambassador would have taught him a lesson. Guess not.

Truth is, they know early voting has already started. They have run out of time to make their case, which they had none to begin with. So---hit below the belt and use a tragedy to score political points and votes. If they do this, it will prove who they are which most of us already knew anyway.
