Michelle Obama gave a widely praised speech at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night. The first lady said her fears that her husband would be changed by his time in office have been allayed. "Being president doesn't change who you are, no it reveals who you are," she said. Watch it.

A class act, and a very good speech. She is a likeable person that speaks from the heart, and has the class to rise above the hatred from the right.

First are the occupy really occupy? Why are they saying dont vote for either party. Yes I agree to a point that both parties take from wall street and the banks, but who is getting the largest share I believe the gop=tea baggers get the most and the roves and kochs are dumping hundred of millions of dollars to buy our country and why arent the occupy people screaming about this. Wall street and such have always put money into campains and now the wealthy and such have the free hand to buy our country, and these fools are not saying one word about the sell out and saying dont vote?.

Waited for the speech and all of the were good and to the point as was the flousa about the difference between the gop=tea baggers and the dems. The best was when Devaul Patrick said it was time for the dems to get a BACKBONE!!! I agreed with him it is time to tell the people the truth and stop the dancing about the subjects. I have said I am a independent and have leaned more left the last few years as I am sick of the selling of my country to a few, and seeing the wealthy steal the wealth of hard working americans as they put more and more people on the streets. I had a nice little nest egg and after 8 years of bush and his great policies it is all but gone and I was lucky last month I went out as a type 6 engine and worked on the Reading fire at mt. lassen park and forest. We camped out and worked 14 hours a day. I will get a check at the end of the month and it will pay some bills and our property taxes. I guess this is what the gop=tea baggers want for a 67 year old. I am waiting for the next phone call so I can do it again. Must say it is hard work, but you meet and work with many good people who run the spectrum of ages. Many are like myself retired and do this because of moeny. The main fire fighting is done by the young guys and gals, and we do the mop up so the fire wont rekindle so we oldsters do our share.

I was also glad that this president gave health care to the young men and women who are federal seasonal fire fighters. Before now these people were on their own and now they are covered for the time they work. I know mittens and paulie will end this also as the will do with ACA if they get elected by the sheep and haters...

Go out and tell the truth if you have family and friends who are gop=tea baggers as I have found they are the most ill informed peopel as they can only quote rushie, glennie and foxxies snooze.

What a fabulous speech by Michelle. She is so uplifting to all of us instead of being condensing with the use of "you people" to describe us and "the grownup" to define Romney which Ann has used when she was interviewed. Michelle has made the position of first lady to help children and veterans and has really made a difference.

Her speech was great. The commentator on PBS,i forgot which one who said it--said it was a metaphor stolen from sports--the "sport" doesn't change who you are but reveals who you are....maybe added with the help of michelles brother a college basketball coach/ recruiter?any which way it was an exceptional speech, i won't understand if there is not a bounce in the polls.i liked it when she said of veteran families..there are 1% of the population protecting the 99% off the rest of us...it was such a repudiation of the economic class warfare that has been leveled against the dems. its economic fairness not economic envy(class warfare)there are a lot of 99%, just acknowledging the fact not envying it.

(i was also ticked when i read the occupiers were protesting more at the dem convention, because of no huricanes. and an occupier leader was advising to not vote for either because both were bad--until then i had positive thoughts of the occupy movement--do they not realize what's at stake? the koch brother might be funding them too).
