Talking Points Memo is reporting a black CNN staffer was harrassed by an attendee to the Republican National Convention. The man, who threw nuts at the CNN camerawoman and said "This is how we feed animals," was removed from the convention.
CNN released the following statement: "CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon. CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment."
The story was first broken by David Shuster, who said in a tweet: "GOP attendee ejected for throwing nuts at African American CNN camera woman + saying ‘This is how we feed animals."
Condoleezza Rice, Colon Powell, Allen West, Mia Love, Herman Cain…….all absolute racists!
Good job on clearing that up for us John
Gloria, do what to add a couple names to this list. Come on lets name all the racists.

The GOP is a racist party. Don't believe me? Just ask all the "dixie-crats" why they became good ol' Republicans, e.g. Strom Thurmond.

I am still overseas, and can only get what convention stuff is on some of the shows that AFN airs on a daily basis. I am glad about that in a way, which means I don't have to subject myself to the unbearable torture.
I do know for sure t,hat the crap, and lies are flying out of the Republicans mouths. For instance, Ann Romney suppossidly blamed the Democrats for the plight of the GOP, when it comes to Hispanics. Well, my answer to Mrs. Ann is, if you care so much, why did the GOP House vote against the dream act? Why have Governors, like Jan Brewer,-AZ-passed laws to let the Police, stop anyone based on the color of their skin? Why has your husband been quoted as saying, that they should self deport!" Tell me , Ann, I would so much like to hear your responses to what I have suggested here!

In regards to the above incident, nothing suprises me. When you take a look at what flows out of the mouths of the Drugster, and Hannity, and Savage, and Beck and others on a daily basis, nothing is a big suprise anymore! they are all a bunch of angry white people, who feel that their white superiority will be gone soon. That is what most of it is all about. They think that they are fooling us, and that we are too stupid to notice. WRONG!!!!!

I love all or your comments, and agree 100%. Welcome back Rex, and Ron, we need your voices on here. The GOP is a big fat disgrace. The little bit I heard of Ann's, and Christies speaches, did not impress me one bit. Christie is just stuck on himself, bigtime, and is ignorant of what Sprigsteen says in his songs. Mrs. Romney just wanted to try to make them out to be just one of the middle class, the more she tried, the more comical it became.
I agree with all, they are just dead set on getting the black guy out of there, and nothing else, except detroying the middle class, in the process.

You would think that in the 21st century we would have been beyond this type of racial incidents. The signs of the Tea Party rallies compared President Obama to a "Nazi", "Socialist", "Communist" or even a monkey or dog. You would have thought that we would have progressed beyond this level of hatred but we evidently have not. I sort of find it hard after serving 20 years on active duty besides blacks, women, and other minorities such as Hispanics. The GOP seems to tolerate this type of stuff way too often. A politician who condones this type of behavior is a poor leader. The military would not put up with this kind of behavior. If I called a black soldier with the "N" word I probably would have been reprimanded and drummed out of the service in pretty short order especially as a higher ranking NCO in a management position. The military just does not tolerate this stuff.
I am not sure why its tolerated anywhere else either. If you do not like black people for whatever reason bigoted or not, just avoid them and they avoid you, especially outside of work. Each person regardless of race or gender has a right to earn an honest living without discrimination in the work place. The military makes this work and so can civilian leaders, just don't tolerate it and it will eventually go away.So the GOP right now is way out of step with the young people. The young college age people do not like this prejudice and bigotry in any form. The older bigots need to figure this out by changing but they won't from anything I write here.

The tea-party repups are a bunch of sick puppies.........off topic........What did you think of Ann Romney's love speech? I think she is as shrewed as Mitt...she said she meet him for the first time at a dance...she let this stranger take her home....she said her parents liked having him around sometimes and there were times he wished they were not around...did her parents like him or not? She said, they Did Not Care....so they were rebellious! Her parents were not happy with him being a Mormon and his parents didn't approve of her being a Christian.....They DID NOT CARE....She converted to being a Mormon and married into the royal Romney family of Mormon....and FYI... her parents were not allowed to be in the sancturary during the wedding ceremony they had to sit in the hall way outside the door.
Sounds like one great big happy family doesn't it? Now someone tell me how this love story helped Romney? Women are you feeling the love?

What is new here this is how many think in the gop=tea baggers. I have said I know a person who will vote for romney and ryan just to get the rag out of office..
Change of subject: please do a read of the offfical gop=tea baggers platform. It is scary as it is a blue print to back to the furture. It lowers taxes for corporations and the wealthy, bans abortions and gives the unborn more rights than the mother(I am not in favor of abortions but am pro choice), guts medicare, social security and allows them to become private, and then attacks unions, education, and allows the big business to go into the national parks and reserves to mine, drill and allows the coal companies to dig up call and polute at will. Like I said it is a 1920's plan for the rich and corporations. The really scary part is most people wont even be aware of what this party stands, but listen to the poop the right is putting out about the president and how he wants to make us like europe or socialist. Joke is that if we were like europe we would have the austerity that the right wants to do by cutting the budget and stopping the government from spending on needed repairs to our infrastructure. Once again did you hear the small federal government more state rights govenor of LA saying the federal government should cover all the cost of the emergency services from the hurricane?

I agree Gloria. I had forgotten about the Dixiecrats. The more things change, the more they stay the same eh? If ignorance is bliss, there are a lot of blind blissful idiots on the right. They probably tossed this fool for show, but later on bought him drinks at a local strip club. Obama's Presidency has certainly shown who the right really is, and really has been for a long time.
