President Obama's healthcare law forces the big health insurers to pay out 80% of premiums to care costs. If they don't reach the 80-percent threshold, they have to send the money back to you or your employer. And if you employer gets the check, they're required by law to pass it on to you, or lower your premium.
Hey look at that, President Obama's healthcare law, so hated by the right-wing, is taking your money back from one of the greediest industries and putting it back in your pocket. And it's not even fully-implemented yet. Alan Grayson joins Ed to talk about it.
I want them to get rid of that damn donut hole. I went through that with my Mother. I had to help support her just so she could pay for her heart medication. It is so punishing to the elderly. She worked hard all her life and deserved better.

i don't think an auto insurance is similar to the health care mandate--so it does not apply in the decision.
Auto insurance is state mandated-i've lived in both kind of states, some require iauto insurance some do not. And a person can chose not to drive a car in a state that does have a mandate. a person would have to chose not to live to not get health insurance.
I like the prediction that SCOTUS has not seen a corporation it did not like, so they won't get rid of the mandate.
My prediction is the mandate will be overturned(hope I'm wrong & your right)...that something similar to medicare part d is used...were if you don't get it when eligible the price goes up with a penalty a person has to pay forever.
The seniors just chose to get the insurance before they had a penalty applied forever. It would mean higher start up costs...also the door might be open enough to get single payor through after the law has been struckt down?

They just started a new commercial on TV about ACA...in it a doc says shes not sure about ACA, she knows it won;'t save money and it putting government between her and her pationts...then she says the punchline....she says...
"I know ACA will allow my patients to chose me but will it allow me to chose to treat my patients?"I
AGH! If we get through this government health insurance successfully, future generation will praise what we have done as it is in Canada, they praise the prime minister who got their NHP through. Ancestor of Keifer Sutherland.

I am going to make a prediction here. Just a hunch but I do not think the SCOTUS will overturn the individual mandate of Obama's Healthcare plan. For two reasons. Think about it, who benefits with a mandate? Corporations. SCOTUS never met a corporation they didn't like.
If they overturn the healthcare mandate that leaves the door wide open for the auto insurance mandate to be also overturned. They are basically one and the same. If you don't carry the insurance you get fined. The only difference is who is the fining entity. With auto, every time you get stopped if you don't produce that paper you are subject to a fine. With healthcare it remains to be seen who would impose those fines. But it is still the same concept.
Insurance corporations benefit in both areas, you have to carry the insurance and they benefit.
I wish there was a way to get a rebate from these auto insurance companies that are overcharging us also.

Lee not only did Robme say let GM rot, he then turned around in an interview and said he was going to claim credit for the comeback of GM. This is a prime example of what is meant when one drinks their own bathwater.

Right on, Linda S. In addition to the good things quietly happening, I have been doing my part to counter the baseless belief that the economy will magically prosper under a Repug president. On a FB thread I challenged a righty to explain how the economy will fare better under Robme when he was the one who wanted to let Detroit go bankrupt. It is thanks to President Obama that GM is back on top and Chrysler is doing well too. After a week I still haven't heard a peep in response but have received quite a few "likes".

Notice how quiet the GOP are about the good news???????? any good news & they just run & hide or cause distractions................and don't forget the lies Republicans like to spread.
