Romney surrogate Ed Gillespie appeared on Meet The Press over the weekend to claim President Obama has turned the capture of Osama Bin Laden into a political issue.
"He took something that was a unifying event for all Americans – an event that Gov. Romney congratulated him and the military and the intelligence analysts in our government for completing the mission in terms of killing Osama bin Laden – and he’s managed to turn it into a divisive partisan political attack,” Gillespie said.
When Republicans say anything these days, I seriously wonder if their bodies have been taken over by aliens. The things they say are not just complete lies, they are things that a rational human being wouldn't ever consider to be true, yet the Regressive Party eats it up and believes it. KKKarl Rove could go on Hannity and say "The grass is red and Obama made it red" and their followers would believe it. Those aliens must have mind controll powers.
Why shouldn't the Obama campaign state the fact that he took out Bin Laden? Anyone remember a certain monkey in a jump suit on the deck of an aircraft carrier beating his chest in front of a "Mission Accomplished" banner? There was no mission that had been accomplished, yet Bush though he could somehow take credit for something. Obama hasn't been overtly taking credit for killing Bin Laden, he didn't rent an aircraft carrier or stage a photo-op tableau to make what he did seem impressive. But he did at least accomplish what Bush couldn't do and the Regressives should not be offended that it is mentioned in his campaign.
I remember the Regressives being so outraged after 2011 that Toby Keith even wrote a song to the effect that "...we're coming after you Bin Laden and we're going to put a boot in your ass..." It was their top priority. Now that Obama took care of it their reaction is either "...eh...no big deal...anyone could have done it..." or "...Obama had no business killing Bin Laden and he should keep his mouth shut about doing it."

Every time Mitty or one of his Bush surrogates opens their mouths, the crap flies!
Put up the picture of ANY REPUBLICAN today, starting with their fear-factor leader who thinks money can buy the presidency...and you will get the same response.
Without fail, whenever anyone of these whack jobs talk, the audience is left just scratching their head and asking one pertinent question...

I remember back in 2003 when Bush was getting ready to invade Iraq. Someone asked him about bin Laden, and he said he didn't think much about him any longer. That was supposed to be the reason for invading Afghanistan where it was actually mostly the Saudis who attacked us. For one thing, the Repubs didn't want to find bin Laden because it kept their "war on terror" a continual reason for invading countries.
It's really funny how they kept looking for bin Laden when they could have found him with all the smart technology we have. It's just that they didn't want to. Remember how Bush stood on an aircraft carrier in May of 2003 with a "Mission Accomplished" sign? This was after he said that he didn't really care about bin Laden. I guess the mission changed to WMD and Saddam Hussein.

I have come to the distinct conclusion that the Republicans are one of the most self loathing political parties in American history. Everything that they hate about themselves, they continue to try to project onto the other side and make it stick only it doesn't. People can see right through it. They are looking more and more pathetic each day. It's getting hard to stomach.

The righties are just sore that they didn't get Bin Laden, therefore, it just wasn't that important. We know damn well that if they had killed him , it would be a centerpiece of their campaign as to how much "safer" we are with them in control. The chest puffing would still be going on. They are so transparent, it's laughable.
Rex, I was having a conversation about that very thing the other day. The Polar Bear will most likely be bred out over time back into a land bear. This is happening now, despite the complete anti- Darwin denial of the right.

Rex, thanks for the interesting articles. Global warming is happening right under our noses, but republicons deny it. It's just so much easier that way for the big polluters, who are also their big donors, to continue business as usual. After all, they have the money to survive anything, or so they think.
Ed Gillespie is full of it and Meet the Press is just another teabag tool, like most of the "liberal" mainstream media.

Here is an off topic post concerning how nature is adapting to global warming. A hunter in northern Canada has shot a new kind of bear in the arctic. Some have nicknamed this bear a "growler" because DNA has confirmed that the bear's father was a Grizzly bear and the mother was a Polar bear. Scientists believe that this new hybrid bear is fertile and able to reproduce. Here is a link with a picture and article:
Here are two articles about a new breed of hybrid shark that are rapidly adapting to warmer waters around Australia near Queensland. This shark is a crossbreed that is also capable of mating in the new warmer waters, thus greatly expanding its range for hunting.
It seems as if Canadian bears and Australian sharks are creating hybrid adaptations to deal with global warming. Its too bad that both of these new species are smarter than the species of "flat earth" American conservatives that are in total denial about global warming and peak world oil. Guess what conservatives? This stuff the scientists have been talking about is really happening right in front of our noses. When the sharks and the bears, both of whom are on the top of their food chains, are creating hybrid breeds global warming is real. Maybe its time for an Apollo energy program that gets us off of imported OPEC oil? The polar bears and the sharks both vote "yes".

Thanks to the democrats Osama is gone and GM is very much alive, if the GOP was in charge Osama would be alive and GM would be gone, republicans think we would be better off if all those dealers across the USA had weeds growing in the parking lots.
