I haven't watched Meet the Press since Tim Russert died. No one will ask the questions anymore. No one will keep saying "you didn't answer my question over and over until the boob answers or looks like the boob he/she is. Only Russert had any guts.

TAX THE RICH and remove the cap on the payroll tax, NOW!! That will save Social Security forever.. so simple!

Guess who was Greta Van Susteren's personal invite----Lindsay Lohan. They better not say one more word about the President and celebrity of any kind.

That dinner thing was funny to a certain degree, but I agree that some of it was over the top. I am getting quite tired of seeing certain people, like, Kardashian, everywhere, she is like Paris Hilton, hasn't done anything, not talented, but gets lots of media, coverage, because of wealth, and who the parents are, and because the public are being bullied into thinking that they are special! Oh! So! Tired, and bored with it all!

I am watching Meet the Press, on the computer, and I am appalled at what I am seeing. David Gregory is indeed letting, one side, steal the conversation, by interupting and badgering the person trying to speak. That Kathy McMorris Rodgers, is an emabarrassment to my Washington State. I just can't believe the bullshit, coming from the mouths of the two Republicans on there. Everything they are saying is contradictory, and either stupid, or plain out wrong on the facts. But, Phil Griffin will not fire beloved conservative, David Gregory. Gregory tries to look or appear to be open minded, but it is very clear that he is a conservative, which shouldn't matter, especially on a program like that, unless you are sneakily trying to use it to the advantage of yourself, and most of your guests from the other side of the Political aisle. That is why I don't watch it anymore unless a Maddow or somebody is going to be on.

" NEWSFLASH", to a particular Political Party. Women, and College Students, and the Working Poor, and everything that affects them, like loans, and food stamps, and the pill, and the like, are the economy. When are you people going to get any of it? All of the policies that are put forth like the Paul Ryan Budget, and all the rest of it are detremental to all groups of people. It sure is funny that Republicans yell and scream about all of the made up issues, that are out there, and class warfare. They need to conjure up some common sense, real quick. If they, and the Republican Legislatures, in many states ,weren't out there trying to take away things from women, and the young, and the "Working"! , "POOR"!--we wouldn't even have to have these conversations at all. I am getting quite tired of all the bullshit, comments, like, if you want to go to College, borrow money from your parents, or the poor don't want foodstamps, they want jobs, and lies, and nonfacts, and the hypocrisy flying around like a neon sign, coming from the foaming mouths of these GOP-ERS.

Excuse me, GOP"! The poor do indeed work! That is why they are being called the working poor. They work minimum wage jobs, and more than one I might add, but are in most cases not given enough hours to fet the benefits, or reitrement. I know I worked those jobs for years. Did any of these GOP-ERS even work, anything, if they did, then they would know, how it is!! They just don't know about ,or understand, what people are going through, and are completely out of touch with the real world!

They are the ones, living in some foreign galaxy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of tv, I am sitting here watching a repeat of Meet the Press from this morning. If I were the head of NBC I would fire David Gregory as host of that show. He's got Republican hacks sitting there talking over and interrupting Rachel Maddow and Hilary Rosen and he does nothing to intervene and just lets the show get out of control. Not only does he not ask any hard questions, he doesn't even adequately moderate the show. A good moderator does not let one side run away with the show, but he let that happen. I don't expect him to fill Tim Russert's shoes but my God, do something! Show some initiative of some kind. I don't think I am alone in my thoughts.

I thought Ed was going to talk about last night's event, not last year's?? What gives?

It was just kind of a weird and strange night altogether. First of all way too many celebrities. And I saw a comment on another blog earlier. Why not invite military wives and husbands and treat them to a special evening?? Or better yet how about some non millionaire hard working teachers or firefighters or just plain blue collar taxpayers? I think Lohan and Kardashian have done enough red carpet lollygagging. Yet it was media types that invited them. I think they should dispense with the celebrity types next year. This is supposed to be about journalists, I don't remember one celebrity there last night that is one.

I did think the Chris Christie, Newt Gingrich jokes were pretty funny. I thought the Kimmel "bleep" filmclip collection was way over the line. Not at all in good taste.

I don't think I;ll watch again next year if it is going to be a repeat of nothing more than a Hollywood event.

I think this years dinner highlighted the biggest fear for the President's re-election. Apathy. Kimmel really drove it home with his joke on how the President Compromises with Republicans by caving in completely. Why is the Pres. cracking down on marijuana when he said he wouldn't and pushing a pretty substantial voting block.

The President was pretty funny but didn't like all the Dog Jokes.
