Newt Gingrich has no idea how disrespectful he is to make hateful statements like these in the name of politics. American soldiers died in an attempted rescue of the hostages in Iran, and former Speaker Gingrich clearly has no respect for their memory to invoke the hostage crisis in some failed attempt to bloster his flagging campaign.
In reality, Newt is lost in some pseudo-political fantasy where he has a lot in common with Ronald Reagan, and Barack Obama is just about to go down to resounding defeat like Jimmy Carter.
Maybe in one of Newt's alternate history science fiction stories, but not in this universe...
The Skull and Bones Secret Society did not end at the door on the Yale campus. It is actually where it began. You look at the history of graduates there who then went on into high offices of the government, almost all are involved in all kinds of covert and ugly stuff.
But as they all began to get into higher and higher positions it just permeated the entire government. The dirtier the deed the higher they promoted you.
So many books have been written about this stuff that all of it is now just common discussion. They've had enough to nail these guys on many occasions, but when you stack the courts and the Congressional committees with your kindred brother, well, you get the picture.

I have learned mostly through experience to never believe anything from mainstream news that has to do with war, foreign policy, or anything that relies on intelligence sources. Because it's all a big freaking game. It's fear mongering especially in an election year. Who I do listen to are people who were formerly in the government that can no longer be fired for speaking out. Like Jeremy Scahill who wrote about Blackwater, and that Baer guy who used to be CIA that they made the movie Syriana after. Everybody's got an agenda and everything you hear is slanted depending on who's doing the telling. There are all kinds of psy-op war games going on in the middle east right now, almost too many to even get a grip on. That is why we need to get out of there the sooner the better. We've got a country to re-build and run, we've got kids to educate, we've got the elderly and the homeless to care for. Let the war drama kings just go at it until they all do each other in.

I want to comment on that Clint Eastwood super bowl car add again. Come on people that ad was about and the car industry, and about us as people, when we get knocked down, we pick our selves up and get to work. It was about the worker strength, and the durability of us as Americans. Anyone who says it was a pro-Obama add, or racist, need to go have their heads examined, by a Psychiatrist!!
Eastwood is a known conservative, Republican, who was out there saying, that we should be respecting workers, instead of knocking them down, and that our country is in the game, and will continue to be in it. Eastwood, sounds just a little pissed off about some of what has been said, today! I don't blame him, one bit.
So everybody- Please Shut the Hell Up!! NOW!!!!! Can't anyone say anything good anymore, about anything without it being taken too literally, or reading something into it which isn't there!! GRUNT!!!!! NASHING MY TEETH!!!!!!!!!! Don't mess with Dirty Harry!!!

Like Chris Mathews and others have said over the years, not all of the above events that I mentioned were proven, like how the hostages ultimately ended up in Cairo, but they think that it was done overnight! Reagan being President now, and then after that George HW Bush, the father, so much of the details were all covered up! Many think there was a blatant coverup by the CIA under both of these Presidencies! So that the ultimate truth would not be known! Alot of it is not understood by many Americans, because too many people just don't do their homework, just believe what is thrown at them! These despicable Republicans, will do anything to try to turn the tide for themselves, even try to ruin someones else's character, in the process, especially when they get behind in some kind of a run for some political office! They are the ultimate in immoral individuals!! They not only are trying to destroy this President, but they are trying to destroy all of us, by making sure that everyone in every state, will have to work for less than minimum wage, if they are able to pass all of their extremist ideas! While, the rest of them and their rich buddies, live high off the hog!

Dear Newt, let me refresh your memory a little bit here! The whole Iran hostage thing was cooked up by the Republicans to defeat Jimmy Carter, so he couldn't serve a second term as President! There were people in the Carter Administration that were avid Republican Conservatives, who wanted him out of there! GHWBush the father was a big wig in the State Department ,at the time, and he along with many others in the Reagan Campaign, and many others in Government, did everything they could to get Jimmy Carter out of there. That is why they developed this plan with Iran, so when President Carter sent the military in there, the hostages were moved to a different secret location, in the middle of the night, without President Carter, knowing about it. That is why the plan failed, and some soldiers were shot at and lost their lives, because there was no-one to rescue from the area where they went too! Iran would then, hold the hostages in this secret location, until the minute Reagan would take the oath of office, then Iran would be paid the money, and A few hours it was reported, worldwide, and all over the news,that the hostages, in Iran, were to be freed. And the new President, Reagan would take all the credit for it!! So, Newt, do not insult the intelligence, of some of us, who follow, the truth!!! How dare you, try to be so despicable, and uncaring to the memory of the soldiers who lost their lives in this, botched attempt. I followed this stuff, just like clockwork, so you cannot pulll anything over on me! This President is going to win, another term as President!!!! You, Newt, the ultimate, Jackass, loser, better come to grips with it, and better bow out now, before you make an even bigger monkeys behind, out of your self!! But the, you conservatives never ones, who like to believe the truth anyway!

The Newtster will do just about anything to keep his campaign going. What are we supposed to do about the hostage problem in Egypt? The quite diplomatic solution is the only way to resolve this problem. Perhaps, fewer Americans ought to be going to Egypt until their internal political problems are resolved and the situation is stabilized. The State Department will work something out after some tough behind the scenes phone calls and meetings. Egypt gets $1.5 billion annually in mostly military aid. I am not sure they can afford to lose it. The U.S. Navy sends the carriers and the many other supply ships through the Suez Canal. The U.S. has had a 30 year relationship with Egypt after the 1978 Camp David Accords. Why were the Camp David Accords signed? In part of course because Anwar Sadat and Menachem Began wanted a peace deal, but there is another reason. During the 1973 Yom Kippur war, Israel was losing badly. This event almost caused Israel to conduct a nuclear attack on Egypt and Syria. Nixon and Kissinger talked this crisis down but President Carter saw the need for peace between Egypt and Israel. Egypt is going through profound internal political changes, with a high domestic unemployment of its young people. The new transitional government in Cairo will be squabbling with the military junta that is still in control. There will be squabbles about procedures for elections and what a transition to civilian government looks like. No doubt during this process violence and fatalities from street riots are all to real. I do not know how these conflicts will all pan out because very few of us have any idea about what Egyptian government and society will look like after the transition to civilian government has been completed after 40 years of President Mubarak.
All I know is that listening to Newt Gingrich making speeches about 19 detained Americans, who should have been home instead of in Cairo, will be neither useful nor informative. Egypt is a country of laws. Eventually, if we keep our heads, quiet diplomacy will get these Americans home. Maybe they will be smarter about not sticking their nose into other country's problems during times of rioting. When you are around things that are on fire sooner or later you can get burned. God knows we have plenty of problems right here at home to last us a lifetime. Just go read about any major city or county government across America and talk to a social worker, policeman, public school teacher, professor, or a judge. The litany of woe is long and dreary.
